San Diego Comic-Con Ponies

The San Diego Comic-Con is a huge event, lasting four days. It was orignially started as a convention for comic book fans and artists, but has since grown to include sci-fi, anime, and other pop culture items. Many vendors bring special items that can only be purchased at the con.

Ever since 2005, Hasbro has released a special edition Comic-Con pony that can only be purchased at the San Diego event, or at Hasbro's online toyshop.

Collecor Grade Ponies

Hasbro Toy Shop sold two premium ponies. What the site had to say about the ponies:

Due to limited available quantities, there is a limit of 1 item per billing address for this item.

Sold exclusively through HasbroToyShop.com. Original product launched at Comic-Con July 2007.

What is CDA? The Collectible Doll Authority, also known as CDA, is considered a worldwide standard when assessing the condition of collectible dolls. Once an item is graded by CDA, it is sealed in a premium quality acrylic case to preserve its condition. For years, professionals at CDA have helped to properly assess a doll’s condition, verify its authenticity, increase its investment value, and greatly enhance its appearance.

Pony fans unite with this dazzling pony figure that's comic-styled just for Comic Con! This pony's CUTIE MARK design features a "MY LITTLE PONY power" graphic, as well as "Zoom" and "Kapow" emblazoned on its legs! Painted with a mask and super hero costume details, this is one colorful pony for your collection!

The CDA Gold level consists of the grades 100, 95, and 90. The select few items that receive these grades are among the highest quality in existence. A very small percentage of items submitted to CDA receive a Gold grade. The flaws are very minor, very subtle, and are sometimes very hard to identify with the naked eye. The collector who is extremely condition sensitive will be satisfied with the condition of a Gold level item.
