Firefly782 sent in the link to the Japanese Amazon.com website where the images of these new ponies were featured. A translation of the website says that these ponies are from the 'My Little Pony Favorite Friends Series - Make Up' Ponies set.
Also found on this site are a Basic Plush Pinkie Pie and a Pinkie Pie Tissue Case that apparently came out in 2004.

An image of the My Little Pony Fair Exclusive Pony has been posted online. You can go to Wizard Universe to see her.

This pony will be sold at the My Little Pony Fair at Providence, RI. She has a unique design that incorporates the words "Providence," "MLP Fair", and "2008". There are 1,000 numbered ponies to be sold at about $30 a piece.

Press Kit

Queroponei and Ponipal have found a new set of Ponyville Ponies. They are at Target and come in Easter Eggs. The ponies included in this set are: Cheerilee, Scootaloo, Sweetie Belle, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash and Starsong.

I found this news article from The News Observer.com. It talks about the plans of the 2008 pony toyline, more specifically about the "MY LITTLE PONY Project: 25 Ponies for 25 Years" a year long theme that begins on Feb. 18th.

Here are the highlights:

"As part of the initiative, the MY LITTLE PONY brand will invite international pop culture influentials such as celebrities, fashion designers, brands, artists, collectors, and kids to design a collection of 25 one-of-a-kind MY LITTLE PONY 18-inch figures."

"Hasbro will officially launch the program on Monday, February 18th with the unveiling of the first two custom ponies: a "Silver" pony from Hasbro and TWINKLE HOPE, a pony designed for Give Kids The World Village. Give Kids The World Village is a nonprofit organization that works to fulfill the wishes of all children with life-threatening illnesses and the charitable partner for the MY LITTLE PONY 25th birthday celebration. Local children from Give Kids The World Village will be on-hand to enjoy the day's festivities. Renowned baker Sylvia Weinstock will be onsite to help to celebrate the occasion with the presentation of an original MY LITTLE PONY themed birthday cake."

"In addition to Hasbro's "Silver" pony and TWINKLE HOPE, the Give Kids The World Village pony, Hasbro hopes to introduce 23 additional one-of-a-kind project ponies throughout the year. Hot Chocolate Café

k.m. thorn found this image of the new Ponyville Hot Chocolate Cafe on Entertainment Earth.

Margo sent in some pictures of the new 2008 Easter ponies. Queroponei says, "I saw that this Toola Roola is same that was sold on UK with Chocolate egg"

Also, UKStyler says that the Blackpool ponies from their light display are going on sale today. These are giant light up ponies that had been on display during the Blackpool Illuminations, Lancashire, UK.

These ponies first went on display in 1988 and ran for 18 years. They were retired in 2005. This was a full tableau that consisted originally of 13 ponies, Megan and Sundance, Spike, Baby Tiddlywinks on a rocker, Baby Cuddles in her Baby Buggy (pram), and a full backdrop.

Supposedly they are only selling the spares and they are keeping 2 of each model, so the ponies may return.

Spotted by Firefly346 from the UK is this new Easter Egg and pony set. The set comes with Sunshine Parade (new Toola Roola) that has a rainbow color streak that runs down her leg and a chocolate Easter Egg.

Pony Easter Eggs are out again this year. I saw pony egg sets for sale at Big Lots.

Also, some of the 2008 ponies are beginnging to show up in stores. I saw the Ponyville Movie Theater and Rollerskate Cake playsets at Walmart. Kmart had the new Retro Rainbow Pony sets and they were having a toy sale. And Big Lots has the Pony Easter Eggs and the pony reissue singles: Amberlocks, Starbeam, Blossomforth, and Sweetsong.
