My Little Pony - 1982

These are the first ponies to be called 'My Little Pony'. They were all released in the same pose by Hasbro in 1982 and they are all Earth ponies. Each pony came marked with a different symbol on their rumps and a comb and ribbon. These ponies are unique in that they all have flat feet instead of the concave feet later ponies will have.

Snuzzle has the unique distinction of being the only gray pony ever produced. She has blue eyes and pink hair. Her symbol is a grouping of pink hearts.
Cotton Candy has a pink body and pink hair. Her eyes are purple. The symbol she wears is a grouping of odd shaped dots.
Butterscotch is gold in hair and body color. Her eyes are a burnt orange color. A group of butterflies make up this ponies symbol.
Minty has a light green body color with white hair. Her symbol is a grouping of green clovers. Her eyes are blue.
Blossom has purple hair and eyes, while her body color is a slightly lighter shade of purple. Her symbol is a grouping of white flowers.
Blue Belle is a pony with a light blue body and light purple hair. Her eyes are purple. The blue stars grouped on her rump make up her symbol.

Butterscotch was also released as a baby pony in the My Pretty Pony and Beautiful Baby (1983) set which was a pre-My Little Pony playset.

Blossom and Cotton Candy returned in 1983 in the set of ponies that included Bubbles, Seashell, Bow Tie, and Applejack.

All of these ponies were re-released in 1986 as the Collector Ponies a mail-in offer. These ponies differ slightly from the original versions sometimes by color but always with concave feet.
