My Little Pony - 1983
Pretty Parlor
The Pretty Parlor came with many accessories to give your ponies a makeover
with. Among these items were two hats, a bridal, comb/brush, ribbons, and
a basket for the cat, Twinkles, to ride in. Also included was Peachy a pony
exclusive to this playset.

Twinkles is an orange tabby kitten with brown
stripes.

Peachy is tan/peach colored with pink hair and blue eyes. She shares Snuzzle's symbol of a grouping of pink hearts.

The Pretty Parlor returns several times through out My Little Pony history. Some times it is offered through mail orders or sold in stores with new colors and names. Sometimes it does not even come with Peachy!
Peachy makes a return appearance as a mail-order pony with the Playset Pony offer.
Waterfall
The Waterfall was a place where your ponies could go and cool off. When you
pushed the pump by the rainbow rain fell from the cloud above to the pool
below. If you added the bubble solution to the water and then pushed the pump
by the sun the pool water would bubble!
This playset came with bubble solution, a towel, a foam brush, a comb, two
curlers, and a ribbon. To play in the Waterfall, Duck Soup and Sprinkles were
included and were exclusive to this set.

and brown eyes.

Sprinkles has a lavender body with light blue
hair and eyes. Her symbol is a light blue grouping of ducks.

Sprinkles was re-released as a mail order Playset Pony
later on, but instead of being lavender her body color was pink.

Backcard Story
Show Stable
The Show Stable was the first house released for My Little Pony. It came
with a pony weathervane, lots of green fences, two jumps, a pink saddle and
bridle, three prize-cups, a bed, and some flags. It also came with the exclusive
pony Lemon Drop and dog Brandy.

Dream Castle
Dream Castle was the ultimate playset. Its drawbridge lowered and raised
when the handle inside was turned and a basket inside could be used to lift
things to the second floor.
Dream Castle came with four horseshoes and a box to put them in, two yellow
jumping hoops, a blue treasure chest, two goblets, a crown, a blue throne
with pink felt seat, a table, a brush, a blue hat with ribbon, mirror, yellow
basket, three flags, and two ribbons. It also came with the exclusive pony
Majesty and dragon Spike.

Spike is a pink baby dragon. He has green spikes,
toenails and eyes.

Majesty is a white unicorn with blue eyes.
Her hair is blue and the mane has a streak of white in it. Her symbol
is a grouping of five glittery blue flowers.

Majesty was re-released as a Playset Pony later on.
Dream Castle without Majesty was re-released in different colors.
Pony Wear
These were the first clothing sets released for My Little Pony. Unfortunately
not all of the clothes would fit all of the ponies. Pegasus wings got in the
way of saddles and ponies with bent legs (like Firefly) could not wear the
pony shoes.

The Tea Party outfit is made up of a floral cape that attaches by the tying of a purple ribbon around a ponies neck, tan straw hat with pink flower, and four pink shoes. Best of the West includes a white felt cowboy hat, silver tasseled blanket, silver sequined bridle with attached silver reins, and a pink saddle. Pony Royal outfit includes a red cape with silver lace and fur trim, four white shoes, and a crown with silver trim that ties under a ponies neck with a pink ribbon. |

Great Skates includes a dark blue blanket with a hot pink ruffle, white and pink sweatband, plain pink saddle, and four white roller skates with pink wheels. Parade Pizzazz outfit included a colorful blanket with tassels, a bridle with a green feather sticking out of the top. This bridle had attached silver reins Also included were four pink shoes. Sweet Dreams includes a pink pajama with matching hat. It had four fuzzy pink slippers and three purple hair curlers. |
