Disney Princess Ponies

The Disney Princess Ponies were exclusive to the Disney Theme Parks,
more specifically Disney’s Once Upon a Toy store in Downtown Disney. They
could be ordered through Disney’s Merchandise Mail Order. Each pony was the
same as their original release but they came with a special 'princess' hat
and cape and a specially marked 'Disney' box.

Disney's Once Upon a Toy Store in response to the high popularity of both
My Little Pony and the Build-a-Bear craze came up with their own version,
Build-a-Pony. In this special area you are given a pony and a box to fill
with crowns, brushes, jewelry and exclusive Disney accessories. You purchase
as many accessories as you can stuff in one box. The Build-a-Pony area also
includes interactive video touch-screens.
The Build-a-Pony station opened in 2004. At that time you could get the four princess outfits (Cinderella, Ariel, Belle, Aurora), a blue lacy outfit, blue glasses, blue shoes, a table (like the one from the cafe), an apple-shaped brush with princess sticker, a Mickey ear shaped Balloon, a bed with princess sticker on the footrest, a vanity with princess sticker on back, a heart brush with princess sticker, a Mickey ears ice cream on stick, a big Teacup, a small creamer, small plate, little teacup, a pink blanket, a popcorn stand, a tiara.
Later in 2005 more outfits were added to the mix: Tinkerbelle outfit, a veil with Mickey ears, the Minnie outfit set, Mickey ears, antenna with Mickey ears toppers, Sunglasses with Mickey ears on them, and a pink raincoat and hat set with a Princess sticker on the coat.
In 2006-07 more new Disney items were added: Ariel Mermaid tail, Ms. Pots and Chip, Aladdin's Genie Lamp, Ariel shell necklace, Ariel starfish headband/belt, sandcastle, Aurora Tiara and necklace.
In 2008 Build-a-Pony is still open.
