Program Story

It's a beautiful morning in Ponyville. Sweetberry is opening her Sweet Shop where she makes yummy cookies and cakes for everyone in Ponyville.

Sweetberry's friends are coming to say "Good Morning!" There is Thistle Whistle, the Pegasus Pony, and stylish Sew-and-So who makes clothes for all her pony friends. Rainbow Dash loves to rides rainbows. Wysteria has a special way of making her friends laugh while Rarity the Unicorn loves to have fun. Minty loves to have fun too, but she has to be careful and pay attention because something always seems to get in her way.

Pinkie Pie is just getting up. She had a wonderful dream last night. Everything she dreamed was in pink - absolutely, definitely, and positively pink! Pinkie knows it's going to be a positively pink sort of day and hurries to join her friends at the Sweet Shop.

Another friend of the ponies has arrived at the Sweetberry's Sweet Shop. He is a dragon named Kenbroath Gillspotten Heathspike, or Spike for short. Spike has misplaced a very important book - his "How To" book. It is bright purple with sparkly orange jewels all over it. Spike is very eager to find his book.

All the ponies enjoy Sweetberry's lemon muffins and rainbowberry-frosted doughnuts, they talk about the fun they want to have on this pony perfect day.

There are so many fun things to do! Play dress-up, bake cookies, pick flowers, decorate a room, sip tea, or maybe ride in a balloon - how will they ever decide on one thing?

Suddenly Pinkie Pie says: "I've got it! If we don't think small we can do it all!"

The others wonder if they can really do it all but Pinkie is perfectly convinced. She hasn't worked it all out, yet, but she promises that she will.

"If we're going to do it all we have to think of a REALLY big idea," Pinkie Pie thinks to herself. "The biggest idea in the history of ideas!"

Spike appears with his friends, the Ladybugs. He is still looking for his "How To" book.

Pinkie tells Spike that she made a promise to her pony friends to find a way to do every fun thing on their list all in one day. She asks Spike and the Ladybugs to help her think up a Pinkie SQUINK, a REALLY big idea that you want to come true. All you have to do is squeeze your eyes shut and think with all your might - squeeze and think - then, you'll have a SQUINK.

They all squeeze their eyes shut and concentrate. Suddenly, Pinkie Pie has a SQUINK of an idea! She announces that they will have THE WORLD'S BIGGEST TEA PARTY! Pinkie runs off to tell her pony friends.

The ponies are excited to plan THE WORLD'S BIGGEST TEA PARTY. There is much to do. Thistle Whistle doesn't think it's possible to do it all in one day, but Pinkie Pie insists that anything is possible when everyone helps out. "There is so much to do," Pinkie says. "But we'll do it, I promise!"

Rarity the Unicorn offers to have the party at her house, the Crystal Rainbow Castle in Unicornia. Minty volunteers to make the invitations and Wysteria will bring the flowers. Sew-and-So will make sure that every pony has something special to wear and Rainbow Dash will make the castle sparkle with rainbows. They'll need treats to eat at the tea party so Sweetberry will bake the cookies and cake. Thistle Whistler offers to take care of the milk and sugar and Rarity the Unicorn will make the streamers. Pinkie Pie will check everything off the list and bring a big tea pot with tons of tea. They all vow to keep their promise, saying "Just leave it up to me!"

Minty is working on the invitations and everyone in Ponyville is invited! But, there are so many people to invite that they don't have enough stamps. Pinkie thinks, "How do we get an invitation to everyone?" Suddenly, she has another SQUINK of an idea: THE WORLD'S BIGGEST TEA PARTY needs the WORLD'S BIGGEST INVITATION for all to see!

The ponies go to Sew-and-So's dress shop to select boas to wear to the party. Rainbow Dash can't decide what to wear and Sew-and-So encourages to try a new color on for size. The ponies dress up in their favorite colors, ready to razzle dazzle everyone at the tea party.

Pinkie Pie checks the list of things everyone promised to bring: flowers, cookies and cake, rainbow decorations, invitations, dress-up boas, milk and sugar... check, check, check.

But something is missing. The streamers! Pinkie goes to find Rarity the Unicorn who has been playing and having fun, and asks, "Have you finished making those really fun shiny streamers yet?" Rarity the Unicorn tells Pinkie that she's not completely finished, and hurries away to have more fun.

The ponies fill the basket of a hot air balloon with the tea party supplies. But Rarity the Unicorn arrives without streamers! "I always plan to be purely perfect," Rarity the Unicorn says, "but basically, I just want to have fun!" The ponies help Rarity the Unicorn with the streamers and she learns she's been missing the most fun of all: the fun you have when you help each other.

The hot air balloon takes off for Unicornia with Rarity the Unicorn leading the way to the Crystal Rainbow Castle. The palace gates open wide and the ponies enter, all dressed up and excited for the WORLD'S BIGGEST TEA PARTY to begin.

As they look around at the beautiful castle, Pinkie says: "Everything looks absolutely, definitely, positively, perfectly beautiful!" Let the tea party begin! But where is the teapot with tons of tea? With a sinking feeling Pinkie Pie realizes that she forgot the tea!

"I was too busy making sure that everyone was doing what they promised to do, that I forgot what I promised to do! I've let my friends down," Pinkie says.

Minty comforts Pinkie. "I know how you feel," she says. "I've made a few mistakes before myself, but it's alright. We still love you."

Pinkie feels better to know that she's not alone and has a friend who understands. But what about the tea and teapot?

Minty tells Pinkie that she needs Bounce Back Ability. "Everybody makes mistakes," Minty says, "but you can't let that get you down, especially when you have friends who still believe in you." Minty points out that they can still have a party, it just won't be a tea party. The ponies hurry off to unpack the balloon with all of their party supplies.

With the encouragement of her friends, Pinkie is feeling positively pink again! She knows there has to be a way to still have THE WORLD'S BIGGEST TEA PARTY.

Pinkie needs a big idea - another SQUINK! As Pinkie squeezes her eyes shut and thinks with all her might, the items for the party are brought in: flowers, cookies, streamers, and a bright purple book with sparkly orange jewels all over it - it's Spike's "How To" book! Pinkie wonders if there is anything in his book about "How To" make tea for lots of friends.

Spike is happy to help Pinkie. He opens the "How To" book and they find and they find just the right poem:

WHEN YOUR PARTY
HAS NO TEA

SAY AND DO THIS
RHYME WITH ME

SMILE AS YOU RAISE
YOUR CUP

DON'T FORGET, SAY
PINKIES UP.

Hmm... nothing happened. Pinkie thinks that maybe they need teacups. If everyone holds up their teacups together, it just might work.

They say the rhyme again together with all their friends. Suddenly, a teapot whistles and a huge teapot appears!

"Now we can have our tea party!" Pinkie exclaims. "We did it!" the ponies shout.

Pinkie thanks all of her friends for helping her keep her promise: "This really is THE WORLD'S BIGGEST TEA PARTY!"
