My Little Pony Identification

This was one of the first sets of original ponies produced for the UK. Only two previously issued ponies were included in the set (Cherries Jubilee and Posey) but Posey had a darker symbol.

Twinkle Eye Ponies
No difference from North American release, except for Sweet Stuff whose name was changed to 'Sweetie'.

Play and Care Set
These Baby ponies were sold abroad and while their US counterparts had Beddy-Bye eyes these babies came with regular eyes.

This was the 2nd version of the Baby Pony Stroller. This version was purple and came with Baby Lemon Drop.

	Beachcomber was left unchanged from the North American release.
--	Water Lily was sold in the looking forward pose.
	Sunshower was in different pose than her North American release. She had her head facing forward.
	Ripple was in different pose than her North American release. She had her head facing forward.
	Sea Star was not included in the North American Pretty and Pearly Sea Pony set but was a part of the Baby Sea Pony set.
	Tiny Bubbles was not included in the North American Pretty and Pearly Sea Pony set but was a part of the Baby Sea Pony set.

The UK had a unique pony item set called the 'Jewellery Set'. Each set consisted of a plastic heart-shaped case with an attached plastic loop handle that had a rainbow sticker on it. A string or cord could be strung through this loop in order to create a necklace. The plastic container had a lid that could lift off and the inside portion of the container would hold several pony-themed hair barrettes. I'm not sure how many different versions of this set were produced, but a pink one is featured in the 1986 pony pamplet and the blue version is shown below.

Pony Wear

UK Pony Wear is an unusual mismatch of sets that were released differently in the US. Mommy and Baby Pony Wear sets weren't issued in the UK but some of the adult outfits from these sets did show up as replacement additions to other Pony Wear sets. Many outfits were also given different names so I will use their UK names in bold and off to the side I will add their USA name and the Pony Wear set they came from when released in North America.
Sunday Stroll and Carnival Time may have been unique to the UK line. Even though the 'Sunday Stroll' name was used in the US, the outfits look pretty different. This could be due to a error in the pamplet or they may have been unique sets.

	Baby Wear with Pocket Pals All of the outfits in this set have equivalent outfits in the North American Baby Pony Wear with Pocket Pals - 1985. I'm not sure if these sets were sold in groups of two (as they were in theUS) or as single outfits. 	Honeycomb is white with yellow hair. Her symbol is four glittery yellow and black bees.
	Gypsy is orange with red hair and purple eyes. Her symbol is three glittery silver tambourines. She has white freckles on her cheeks.
	Snowflake is pink with white hair and blue eyes. Her symbol is three glittery snowflakes. She has white freckles on her cheeks.
	Hopscotch is aqua with dark purple hair and blue eyes. Her symbol is a purple hopscotch game.
	Posey this version of Posey looks just like her North American release but she has dark pink tulips

	Baby Ribbon is blue with chartreuse hair and a red streak in her mane. Her symbol is a white ribbon. Her eyes are light blue and they are not Beddy-Bye style eyes like her US counterpart! See UK Backcard Story
	Baby Heart Throb is lavender with dark pink hair and blue eyes. She has three pink hearts as her symbol. There seem to be three variations of Baby Heart Throb's symbol. One variation has pink hearts with glittery silver wings while another has pink hearts with blue-grey wings and the third has no wings. Only the Baby Heart Throb with three pink hearts and no wings was sold in the UK. See UK Backcard Story
